SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Heart Kids NZ is the only national organisation in New Zealand dedicated to supporting children, teens, and adults living with childhood-onset heart conditions. They provide vital lifelong support, including emotional, practical, and community-based care for the 12 babies born every week with a heart defect. By supporting them, we help ensure these heart warriors and their families never have to face their journey alone.

Equisucceed NZ Incorporated has been operating for over 40 years, and until 2016, was located in a paddock on Lee Road. Although the facilities were modest, we have helped thousands of riders living with disability over the years. Now that we have an amazing indoor complex on a lakefront location, we can expand our purpose and vision to keep growing in the years to come, to not only benefit our riders, but also our community.

In 2023 Equisucceed NZ Incorporated took on its new name and branding.

We are proud to sponsor the annual Top School event, a beloved community tradition hosted by Paengaroa School for over 25 years. This action-packed day brings together teams from local primary schools for ‘Top Town’ style challenges, including the famous slippery slide and horizontal bungee. It’s a fantastic celebration of teamwork and community spirit that raises vital funds for local school resources.

Chartered in 1927, this is Rotorua’s oldest Rotary club, dedicated to “Service Above Self.” They are a core part of our local community, driving major initiatives like the Sunflower Spectacular for Rotorua Hospital, youth driver training, and the annual Police Excellence Awards. Their work spans from supporting local schools to funding international medical aid, focusing on making Rotorua a safer, more connected place to live.

Hato Hone St. John is a charity that takes care of our people, providing ambulance services, first aid training, community programmes, and more. It’s a cause our Director Aaron is extremely passionate about, volunteering his time and supporting costs such as signage throughout the year.

We think Gumboot Friday is an awesome cause, offering our young people free counselling in their time of need. It’s a cause we’re proud to donate to regularly and it’s vital that our kids get this type of support.

The Rotorua Hospice provides palliative care for our community. They do incredible work that helps out many people in hard times. We proudly support Rotorua Hospice with pro bono or discounted work as needed.

We’re all about community sports for our budding kiwis. We’re proud to support Rotorua Boys High School | Raukura’s 1st XI hockey team and help with their costs throughout the year.

Hori, one of our team members in the Kawerau branch, takes his passion for sport and the next generation seriously. He coaches the Little Kick’z Football team in Kawerau, and we were proud to sponsor their jerseys for the season to keep them warm!

We support Riding for the Disabled, which provides interaction with horses to improve the wellbeing of people with disabilities or special challenges or needs. They provide an important service for these people in our community.

If you’ve met our dog Crash, you’ll know how much our family love animals! The team at SPCA Rotorua Centre work hard to protect and care for animals in our community and find them loving homes. We are proud to support SPCA through pro bono or discounted work as needed.

If you know us, you know we love getting out on the boat for some fishing. The Royal NZ Coastguard is a group of volunteer rescue crews keeping us safe at sea and bringing people home safely after emergencies on the water. It’s a cause we’re proud to support with a monthly donation.

The Lions serve communities by volunteering their time and skills to different causes, helping young people, elderly, the ailing, the needy and their environment. We’re proud to support one of our local Lions Clubs in Ngongotaha.

Shoebox Christmas does some awesome mahi delivering Christmas presents, wrapped in a shoebox, to kids who need an extra smile on Christmas day. Every kid deserves to have a good Christmas and we think this is an awesome cause.

Koha Ki Kawerau is a nonprofit organisation delivering food packages to people and families in need in Kawerau. We’re so happy to see this service in Kawerau, where some of our staff live and work, and we were stoked to donate to their Christmas fund delivering gifts to people in need.

We love our beautiful city and Lakeview Golf Club has a great view that shows it off! Not only that but they get involved in charity projects to help our community. We’re proud to sponsor one of the holes at Lakeview Golf Club.
